What is WilHacks?

Wilhacks is the first ever student-run hackathon in Santa Clara. It is a 24 hour event from 7 PM the 13th to 7 PM the 14th where high school students can code their idea into reality. At the end of the event, students can pitch their project to a panel of judges. We are aiming to have around 125 attendees in our first hackathon at Wilcox.

Contact us at team.wilhacks@gmail.com if you still have questions.

Who can attend?

We are only accepting high school students. If you have already completed high school, you can not compete but you can help out andothers.

How do I form or join a team?

You are allowed to 'pre-form' a team beforehand but if you do not that is fine. There will be time set aside at the beginning to meet others and form teams of up to 4 people.

How much does it cost?

None! WilHacks is free for everyone. All meals, swag, and more are completely covered for no cost.

What if I can't code?

Don't worry; you aren't the only one. We will have workshops to learn and you will learn as you go. There will also be mentors to help you throughout.

Do I need to bring anything?

You must bring a student ID and all coding 'equipment:' laptops and charger, as well as the signed Parent Packet. You may also bring other items such as sleeping bags.

Do you have a code or set rules?

Yes. All hackers must follow the WilHacks code of conduct and that of sponsoring organizations. The forms must be signed in order to attend.
